CHICAGO — Auto parts distributor LKQ Corp. has bought two automotive recycling businesses in Ontario for an undisclosed price, according to the Canadian Press.

LKQ said acquired C.A. Shaw Inc. of London in southwestern Ontario, which operates as Shaw Auto Recyclers; and Headline Auto Parts of Cornwall, a city in eastern Ontario. The two businesses generated about C$9 million in revenue in the last 12-month period.

"The acquisitions of Shaw Auto Recyclers and Headline Auto Parts will improve our distribution of recycled automotive collision parts throughout Ontario," says Benjy Katz, plant manager of LKQ Dominion Auto Recycling Inc. "In addition to servicing the collision shops in the London and Cornwall areas, we will be able to provide recycled (original equipment manufacturer) parts to the collision repair markets in Windsor and Ottawa."
